About me

And when I'm not writing? I'm hopelessly in love with my best friend and wedding photographer wife, who competes for my affections with our beautiful diva baby, Winnie.

I fully commit to the voices when reading Winnie stories, specialising in waspish American dinosaurs. I cook a mean chicken pie and dangerously moreish short-rib tacos. And I decide I'm going to live healthily almost every other week (in between pies and tacos).


I’ve written a children’s book about a team of bin-raiding foxes and a song about a guy who was born with hooves instead of hands. Oh, and I write blogs and websites too.

I’ve been writing all my life. From having the unfortunate nickname of ‘Poetry Boy’ in school to writing tens of thousands of words for my English degree. I wrote a children’s book about bin-raiding foxes, and have mastered the passive-aggressive email! Whatever you need written, words are kinda my thing.

And now I've finally found my calling as a copywriter and blogger. Which I kinda fell into, to be honest. As my wife's wedding photography business grew, she needed more and more things written for her. Blogs, captions, website copy, digital products... they all tumbled off the top of her to-do list and onto mine.  The phrase, "I need you to proofread this for me" turned into, "I need this written please", and after a while I was writing everything. And so it was, that by complete accident, I found something I was good at, and that I LOVED doing! And here we are!

One. As the husband of a wedding photographer, I know how busy you are. You're spinning multiple plates whilst wearing lots of different hats. You’re the CEO, the receptionist and everyone in between, and your to-do list never ends.

But this is no way to live! If you want to grow your business and have some semblance of work/life balance, outsourcing is a must.

Two. My style is conversational without being overly-familiar, relaxed without being lazy, and cheeky without being rude.

And that's me in a nutshell, really. Friendly but professional,  chilled but hard-working, and cheeky but (usually) polite!

Having said all that, I'm flexible depending on your audience. Want serious and formal? I can do that too. Want a bitchy email written? I'll do that for fun!

Three. I've literally written everything my wife has needed for her company, from all the basic copy needed when she first started out to all the more complicated, in-depth wiriting needed by the successful photographer she is now.
